A célkitűzés egy olyan idealisztikus forgatókönyv megírása, mely cselekvési alternatívaként szolgálhat, illetve közösségek kialakítására, összefogására ösztönöz a kollektív jóra való törekvés érdekében. A kiállítás bemutatja, hogy milyen lenne lerombolni a jelenlegi ideákat, és milyen lenne helyette kellően tágas teret, időt és lehetőséget biztosítani mindenki számára.

The name of the exhibition – utopolis, is composed of the Greek word utopia and polis. Utopia can be translated as a place of nowhere, and polis is a community in which the inhabitants lived according to their own leaders, laws and rules, grouped around an urban settlement.

Utopolis is a place, which couldn’t be reached, you can only arrive, no roads or coordinates lead here. In this alternative reality, all challenges have been solved, the self-drawn walls have collapsed, and the constraints and obligations that have become redundant have ceased to exist. Here is an ideal paradise, an imaginary social, political and cultural system, where, although the community is far from homogeneous, equality still dominates.

The project holds a mirror to our slippery world in an online typographic exhibition, with the help of designers from the creative sphere. The aim of the project is to write an idealistic scenario that can serve as an alternative to action and encourage the formation and collaboration of communities for the pursuit of collective good. The exhibition shows what it would be like to demolish current ideas and what it would be like to provide enough space, time and opportunity for everyone instead.
